Electrical and Electronics Engineering
The electrical engineering department is well equipped with electrical machines, power system equipments, electrical drives equipments, utilization equipments, instrumentation equipments etc.
All the faculty members are well-qualified and possess strong background in teaching electrical engineering subjects and industrial experience working in leading industries. Department laboratories are installed with equipments of National/MNC manufacturing companies like ABB, ALSTOM, GE, GEC, L & T, IEC etc.
Main Factors for our success
- Establishing several laboratories to carry out the latest experiments which can be conducted.
- Teachers are encouraged to upgrade their skills and attain greater technical knowledge.
- Faculty and students are encouraged to publish papers and give their presentation in National/Institutional/Industrial/International seminars and conferences
Educational tours are conducted at periodic intervals to enrich the knowledge of electrical engineering by visit to various power stations, major electrical industries, electric locomotive sheds of Indian Railways and substations of electricity boards etc
- The EEE department organized a seminar on 4th August 2009. The chief guest Dr. Sanker Ram, professor and former head of EEE department, JNTU College of engineering, has focused on how the reliability in Electrical Power system can be improved. He told that our main motive is to consider PPPP i.e., Product, Promotion, Pricing, Placing. He expressed the general electrical system can improve the rating and may be in between 0 and 1. He also focused on reliability used for repair rate and failure rate. Reliability of repair can be determined by MICRO PROCESS which is a continuous process.

Dr. B. Sankar Ram, Professor EEE, JNTUH, Addressing the Students of EEE Branch.
The EEE Department Conducted an industrial expert lecture on “Electrical Safety” had delivered by Er. J. Padma Janardhan Reddy. Dy. chief Electrical Inspector to Govt. of A.P. on 04/02/2010. Organized by the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Royal Institute of Technology & Science, Damergidda, Chevella, R.R. Dist. A.P.

In his lecture he focused on the safety measures, such as how to protect oneself from the electrical hazards in domestic, commercial & Industrial usage of Electrical Energy.
He also mentioned in his lecture, that the Electrical Students who have completed the degree should undergo the Industrial Training of Electrical Safety & Security before they accept responsibilities of Electrical Engineers in any organization in home country or abroad.

Dr. B. Hemalatha, Professor, Electrical Engineering Dept., IIT Kharagpur gave a lecture on Virtual High Voltage Laboratory (VHVL) highlighting its importance.

Dr. J. Amarnath, Professor, Dept. of EEE, JNTUH also gave a lecture on Gas Insulated Substation (GIS).

Students of III and IV year EEE branch visited Kothagudem Thermal Power Station, Kothagudem on 1st Dec 2010 accompanied by Mr. N. Santosh Kumar and Mr. Rajender Kamble, Asst. Professors, EEE dept.
